Review: Covergirl Clump Crusher by Lashblast Mascara in Very Black

Hi everyone! So, I've been using this mascara for about 4 months and now I am on my second tube. Because my eyelashes are almost non-existent without mascara on, I tend to try a lot of different mascaras in need of something that is going to make my lashes look longer and thicker. I think I have 8 different mascaras in use as we speak....This mascara, however, has taken the stage for me!

Covergirl Clump Crusher by Lashblast Mascara in Very Black (retail at Walgreens for $8.49)

The curved brush is supposed to "saturate lashes with loads of product and fine-tooth comb bristles to evenly distribute mascara".

Here are some photos of my lashes before, during, and after application. The first pictures is me without any mascara.

Here are my lashes after one coat of mascara.

3rd coat

As you can see, this mascara definitely made me look like I have some lashes. This mascara claims to deliver ZERO clumps and by golly I can't make it clump if I try! I absolutely would recommend this mascara to anyone. My mom recently asked me what kind of mascara I was wearing because she said she needed to get a new one soon and didn't know what to get....what do you think I said? Yes, I told her to get the Covergirl Clump Crusher mascara!

Here is a before and after look at my eyelashes.

I give this mascara an A+! Leave a comment below letting me know if you have tried this mascara and your thoughts on it! I appreciate you stopping by my blog!

Friday Face of the Day

Hi everyone!

As I was getting ready today, I thought, hmmm...I could share my face of the day on Friday's on my blog...and then I came up with the title of this blog post: Friday Face of the Day! Now, I'm not sure how or if I can continue FFOTD when I go back to my full time job in August but at least it could give me something to do during the summer months!

I am visiting a friend tonight and wanted a natural, put together kind of look. I didn't want to look like I just rolled out of bed but I didn't want to be too overdone either since we are just hanging out with a bunch of girlfriends and some kiddos.

Here is a simple natural look I put together. Most of the items I used are from the drugstore!

 Products I used:

  • CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3 in 1 foundation in #810 (classic ivory)
  • MaryKay Eyeshadow Primer
  • Urban Decay Naked Eyeshadow Pallet (colors: virgin, sidecar, and toasted)
  • ELF Blush and Bronzer duo in #10307
  • Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Poweder in Transparent 001
  • Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer in Ivory
  • Maybelline Eye Studio Gel Liner in Brown
  • Physicians Formula Happy Booster Glow and Mood Boosting Blush in Natural
  • CoverGirl Clump Crusher Mascara in Very Black
  • Maybelline Baby Lips in Peppermint
  • Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in Airy Fairy (070)

Paleo Breakfast: Banana Mash with Grain Free Granola and Fresh Fruit

Hi everyone! Today I wanted to share with you a Paleo inspired breakfast that I made this morning. I already had all of the ingredients on hand so I just started mixing together what I though would taste good. I wanted something quick and simple that was not eggs or bacon (which is what I eat most of the time, or some paleo muffins that I make on occasion).

Here are the ingredients:
  • 1 ripe banana
  • almond milk (any kind you like will be fine)
  • Grain Free Granola (I got my recipe here: www.joyfulabode.com)
  • mixed fresh fruit (I used strawberries and blueberries)
Here are the steps:
First, take a ripe banana and mash it up in a bowl using a fork.

Next, add a few spoonfuls of your already prepared Grain Free Granola (recipe found at link above)

After you have added your granola, add a splash of almond milk. You want the consistency of oatmeal.

Once you have the consistency you like, then you add your fresh fruit.

And Voila! There you have it! Paleo Banana Mash with Grain Free Granola and Fresh Fruit!  If you try this breakfast, leave a comment below telling me how you liked it! I will definitely be adding this recipe to my repertoire of Paleo breakfasts. I give this an A++!

Renpure Originals: Argan Oil Luxurious Conditioner - Review!!

Hi everyone! I'm not sure why, but since I had my little girl 2 years ago, my hair has been so much drier than it was before I got pregnant. My hair used to be so smooth and fine and now it's dry and I have to use a straightner to acheive the smooth look I want. Needless to say, I have been on the hunt for a good, moisturizing/hydrating conditioner. If you're like me, you like to be able to use as much or less conditioner than you do shampoo because you always seem to run out of conditioner first and then you buy new conditioner and then your shampoo runs out and the cycle continues. (Am I right?)

I found this conidtioner at Walgreens and decided to give it a try. I have heard lots of good things about Argan Oil on YouTube and other beauty blogs and this brand was reasonably priced. Argon Oil on its own can be pretty pricey.

I only use this conditioner on the ends of my hair. Typically, I start and my neck and work the conditioner into my hair from my neck to the ends. I usually clip that hair up while I finish the rest of my shower and then I will rinse it out. It has a baby powder scent which I don't mind. I found that this conditioner is OK as far as making my hair feel smooth goes but I probably wouldn't purchase it again. I may try another conditioner with Argon Oil but this one didn't give me the results I'm looking for.

This conditioner also claims to have NO sodium chloride, salt, dyes, sulfates, parabens, or gluten. This conditioner is a color safe formula.

If you have tried this conditioner, leave a comment below letting me what you thought about it. Hope you're having a great day!

Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Coralberry Review

Hi everyone! I just recently picked up this lipstick at my local Walmart not knowing how much I would absolutely love it! I had to swatch it as soon as I got in the car from purchasing it and new it was love at first swatch...hee hee. I love the creamy formula of this lipstick and the pop of coral color would look great on any skin type. This lipstick may have a hint of shimmer and looks great on the lips.

I have paired Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Coralberry with this Rimmel Stay Glossy in All Day Seduction (#640). It is looks beautiful on top of the Coralberry, especially if you put it right in the center of your bottom lip. The shine accentuates your lips giving a "pouty" effect.

Here are swatches of the lipstick and the lip gloss side by side.

( right: Coralberry left: All Day Seduction)

I hope this post was helpful to you. Overall, I give this lipstick a thumbs up!  The formulation is great and the color is perfect for spring and summer. This color would look great with a tan too!
